Massage Therapy
Massage sessions may draw from a range of techniques and are tailored to suit your individual profile. Sessions are holistically oriented, looking to the source of any condition. If appropriate we will design a treatment plan to address your specific goals. Whether for sports, orthopaedic or relaxation, you can relax with confidence into the expert hands of your therapist.

Benefits of Massage Therapy
Massage is an effective treatment for the symptoms of stress such as headache, lowered immune function, susceptibility to injury and insomnia. Immediate relief can be found while addressing the underlying cause. Massage therapy is also an effective treatment for pain and soft tissue injury, including sports injury and surgical rehabilitation. Massage Therapy is especially efficacious in the treatment of soft tissue injury resulting from a whiplash injury. Talk to your doctor about a referral for massage therapy.

Modalities used include European and western massage techniques such as lymphatic drainage (for the treatment of swelling and lymphodema), deep tissue, Travell's trigger point therapy, fascial release and medical massage. As well, heat and cold therapy, aromatherapy and exercise may be part of your treatment plan.

Yoga
May also be a part of your massage session. Yoga asana (poses) strengthen and lengthen muscles as well as provide relaxation and peace of mind. Gentle yoga stretches may be applied during your treatment or you may be given a sequence of yoga asana to do as home care. Private lessons are also available.

All treatments are with a Registered Massage Therapist.
